The captain challenges him and the village to a game of cricket, which at the time was Britain’s favorite pastime. One of the residents, Bhuvan (my mom named my brother after the character in this movie), decided enough is enough and called out the British captain on this injustice. The residents of this village live in extreme poverty and hunger, as the British were taking their crops and taxing them excessively. It follows the story of this rural village in India during the time of British colonization.
